ACOLYTES
This is an opportunity for youth and adults to develop a deeper appreciation for the liturgy by assisting at the altar during services.
ALL SOULS’ GUILD
This team of people assists with receptions following funerals.
ALTAR GUILD
These people serve God through the preparation of His altar for services on Tuesday, Sunday, and other additional services throughout the year.
BACKPACK BUDDIES
This weekend food security ministry is for children attending Hoover Elementary School, our neighboring school.
BUILDINGS & GROUNDS
This team is in charge of general maintenance of the buildings and grounds of St. Tim’s. There are lots of opportunities to help with mowing, weeding, pruning, and small repairs.
CATECHUMENATE
This is a weekly class for individuals wishing to prepare for Baptism, Confirmation, or Reaffirmation, or for anyone interested in learning more about the church. All members of St. Timothy’s are asked to consider participation in the Catechumenate.

CHOIR
The choir rehearses October through the Easter season to prepare music offered at many services throughout the year.
COFFEE HOUR
This is our weekly time to gather for food, conversation, and fellowship after worship. A sign-up sheet is in the narthex to provide refreshments after the 10:00 service.
COMMUNITY GARDEN
St. Timothy’s hosts a large, well-used community garden, open to both the community and parishioners by application while space is available.
CRAFT GROUP
This group usually meets each week from 10AM to 12PM for hand-crafts, art projects, and fellowship. This group is currently on hold and will resume when conditions permit.
EVENING BOOK STUDY
This group meets Monday evenings beginning in September for an online book study with the rector.
FAMILY PROMISE
Formerly Salem Interfaith Hospitality Network. This is an opportunity for this parish to join with other churches in Salem to offer housing, meals, and companionship to homeless families in the process of getting back on their feet.
FLOWER GUILD
The team picks up altar flowers weekly at the florist and arranges additional flowers throughout the church. They are scheduled on a rotating basis. They also host Easter and Christmas work parties to decorate for services.
GODLY PLAY
Our formation program for children aged 3 through elementary school is based on Montessori developmental concepts. It meets during the first half of the 10AM service on Sunday mornings during the school year.
HEALTHY HOOVER KIDS
This is our vacation-time food security ministry with Hoover Elementary School.
HOSPITALITY
This team coordinates, plans, decorates, and serves at parish gatherings.
MARION-POLK FOOD SHARE
We provide food for the hungry in our community. St. Timothy’s supports this ministry by direct weekly donations of food, as well as financial support through its members.
MEMORIAL GARDEN & ROSE GARDEN
The raised garden on the south side of the church is a lovely final resting place. Assistance is always welcome tending the Rose Garden surrounding the Memorial Garden.
MENDING WINGS MINISTRY
This ministry is based on the Yakama reservation in Washington and works with and for native youth, led by indigenous leadership to heal the effects of injustice and deprivation. We have over the years shared worship services, experienced educational opportunities, and learned about each other’s contexts and experiences.
NEWCOMERS / INQUIRERS CLASS
This class offers a brief look into the history of Christianity, the Episcopal Church, and St. Timothy’s. It meets in the fall.
NURSERY
The nursery is available for children from birth through age four each Sunday for the 10AM service and other major Holy Days.
OFFICE
Occasional help is needed in the office preparing mailings and other light work. Speak with the Parish Administrator if you are interested in assisting.
PARISH LIBRARY
An assortment of excellent books covering a multitude of topics is available for your perusal. Easy checkout! Contact Bonnie Bonham for ways you can help.
SUNDAY ADULT STUDY
Adult Study meets every Sunday morning at 9AM from fall to summer. In a warm and accepting environment, this small group’s focus is Christian spiritual formation.
TABLE TALK
This is a monthly gathering at a local restaurant for food and conversation. This group is currently on hold and will resume when conditions permit.
USHERS
Ushers meet and greet people, distribute bulletins, assist newcomers, and help with the flow of the service. They are scheduled on a rotating basis.
WOMEN’S ONLINE BIBLE STUDY
This group is organized each fall for an online group study of Scripture throughout the year.
